Adelaide Casino – Parking Problems Resolved by SkyCity Group

The car parking quandary at Adelaide casino has been resolved by SkyCity.

Through a notice, SkyCity said that it had entered into an agreement with Walter corporation in which the latter was to cede 750 parking spaces out of the available 1560 car parks. The parking lots are located at Festival Plaza’s underground.

The car parks are crucial for SkyCity especially with the proposed expansion of Adelaide casino.

Jay Weatherill, the South Australian premier had on Saturday announced that Walker Corporation and the state government had reached an agreement for the renovation of the Festival Plaza Precinct at a cost of A$610.

Besides the redevelopment of Festival Plaza, the announcement revealed, there will be an additional construction of a restaurant, cafes in two levels, retail at the back of parliament building, renovation of Hajek plaza and construction of a first-class office building along station road.

SkyCity chief executive officer, Nigel Morrison, was pleased by the agreement between Walker corporation and the South Australia government. He added that the development was welcomed as it would boost Adelaide’s cultural, entertainment and hospitality precinct.

Adelaide is currently expanding its convention center.
